A rush fee is not greed — it is capacity pricing. Same-day turnarounds displace other work; the quote should reflect that trade-off explicitly. Deposits protect both sides: you commit calendar space, they commit budget.
Send one grand total, one deposit, one balance due date. Optional line items can live in an appendix — the decision-maker should not need a spreadsheet to say yes.
